This is what keeps us going and why we need your help!
- 2,000 dogs and 3,500 cats are born every hour in the US compared to only 415 human babies.
- One unsprayed female cat, her mate, and all their offspring, producing only two litters per year, with 2.8 surviving kittens per litter can produce 370,092 cats in just 7 years.
- Millions of animals are slaughtered each year. This is more than 85,000 tons of death which equals the weight of both the Titanic and her sister ship.
- Annual cost of disposing of the dead bodies is 600 million dollars, enough to send 120,000 students to college for 4 years.
- U.S taxpayers pay an estimated 2 Billion Dollars every year to round up, house, kill, and than dispose of the animals body.

We're well on our way to moving our web site over to a new server, with new software and features being implemented each day. Some areas of our site may appear a little thin at the moment, but don't worry. Just check back soon and you will see new items appearing each day. We're gathering up all our pictures and stories from recent events and documenting our adventures.
We will have bigger and better sections for news and photos of our rescue efforts during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, plus there will be video links, photo albums of our voluteers and staff in action and - as always - photos and links so you can open your hearts and homes to injured, abused and homeless animals in need. Please COME BACK and VISIT soon!!
